The Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 "University Gold" Is Dropping This Summer... But There's a Catch
This week we saw a barrage of Off-White x Nike news, and it doesn't look like it's stopping anytime soon as more release info has just surfaced for the hotly anticipated Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 "University Gold". First leaked all the way back in May of 2020, it was officially confirmed by Virgil Abloh this month in not one but two exclusive variants, and here's everything that we know so far.
Perhaps one of the most hyped models since the Off-White x Air Jordan 1 "UNC", the "University Gold" features a crisp leather upper that's painted in a bold yellow hue. Like all of Abloh's other Air Force 1s, this one boasts a shimmering silver Swoosh that shoots across the lateral and medial side panels.
As mentioned in the intro, there will be two versions of the "University Gold", one with a monotone palette and the other with a blacked out Nike Air midsole underfoot, similar to the unreleased pair that was "accidently" sent to an athlete last year.
Elsewhere, you'll find all the deconstructed touches that we all know and love, including quoted text on the shoelaces, exposed stitching, and of course, that bright red Off-White zip-tie that has now become synonymous to the Milan-based fashion house.
Now time for that all-important release info. Set to launch sometime in July, both Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 "University Golds" will be made in collaboration with The Institute of Contemporary Art Boston so will probably be insanely limited. While this isn't the first time Abloh has worked with galleries for an exclusive release, this sort of confirms that it most likely won't release on SNKRS or on Nike and will be limited to the ICA exhibition this summer.
Obviously this is awful news if true, but make sure you keep it locked at The Sole Supplier for more info as it develops! What do you think of this upcoming collab? Let us know, and while you're here, you might as well take a detailed look at the Off-White x Air Jordan 1 "Canary Yellow"!
