Japanese manga franchise Bleach celebrates the 20th anniversary of the anime series with an exclusive ASICS collaboration. This project coincides with the ongoing “Thousand-Year Blood War” arc, which continues the original story in the mid-2000s. Dropping alongside the “Ichigo Kurosaki” edition, this Bleach x ASICS GEL-NYC “Renji Abarai” pays homage to the 6th division lieutenant of the Gotei 13 and one of the series’ most popular characters.
This luxurious GEL-NYC features a striking red and black suede construction with a perforated toe for breathability. The Tiger Stripes boasts an elegant gold accent on the lateral sidewall, offset by clean white tones on the medial section to form a mismatched aesthetic. Spelt in Japanese, Renji’s name appears on the left shoe, complementing the ASICS branding on the opposite pair. A Camellia logo embellishes the heel panel, a symbol representing the character’s squad in the Soul Society. Co-branded graphics animate the sockliner as a nod to the milestone, whilst embroidered labels adorn the tongue. The cream midsole utilises visible GEL inserts for enhanced shock absorption, shored up by a flexible rubber outsole. This shoe includes a special-edition box with co-branded details and artwork to commemorate the anniversary.
A must-have for anime fans, this pair arrives on the ASICS website and select UK retailers. You can find out where to buy the Bleach x ASICS GEL-NYC “Renji Abarai” by keeping it locked to The Sole Supplier!
