New Balance 550 Red Blue

When New Balance re-introduced their retro basketball sneaks to the masses in 2020 after it's been archived since the '90s, sneakerheads instantly fell in love with the construction and looks of the model. While Teddy Santis' collaborative NB550s might be the most sought-after in modern times, this hasn't stopped the Boston footwear giant to reveal a few general release colourways. The New Balance 550 Red Blue is one of many iterations that has been the hot topic in the community so far, and we'll tell you why.

The silhouette works on a mixed construction of mesh, perforated leather, and synthetic, altogether adding durability, optimal airflow, and a super lightweight experience. Most panels are washed in a vibrant red tone, joined with bold blue hits marking the collars and their interior linings, and white that adorns the lateral and medial side's familiar N logo. A full-length cushioned midsole underfoot and additional NB branding details on the tongue, insoles, and heel rounds off this design.
