Aimé Leon Dore resumes its productive partnership with New Balance by introducing new collaborative colourways with the brand’s early 2010s running trainers. After taking on the NB 2002R and 1906R, the New York-based fashion label founded by now NB Made in USA creative director Teddy Santis brandishes several New Balance 860v2 renditions earlier in 2023. This Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance 860v2 “Yellow” deviates from the signature old-school aesthetics of ALD collabs and showcases a bright volt hue.
No other brand has been actively teaming up with New Balance than Aimé Leon Dore. After their debut alliance featuring the NB 550, the two brands strengthened their relationship by taking ALD founder Teddy Santis on board as Made in USA collection creative director. Solidifying its reputation in streetwear, New Balance capitalised on the retro running sneaker trend by releasing several running models from the late 2000s and early 2010s. This NB 860v2 rendition features a bright-volt makeover made of mesh and synthetic leather overlays. Metallic silver accents adorn the reinforcements to maintain a retro running sneaker aesthetic. Light green shades make up the ABZORB SBS midsole, while grey tones cover the pods on the heel. The black Stability Web outsole rounds out this eye-catching New Balance 860v2 collab.
