To coincide with the premiere of the Barbie movie, Nike presents an unofficial Barbie-inspired sneaker collection flaunting extravagant all-pink colour schemes. The Oregon-based sportswear giant continues its movie-inspired themes, as two Nike TN Air Max Plus models donning “Spider-Verse” aesthetics released recently. This Nike Air Max Scorpion “Barbie Pink” exudes elegant accents of pink highlighted by stars and a fancy Nike font.

The Nike Air Max Scorpion can be considered the buffed version of the futuristic VaporMax franchise. First introduced in 2022, Nike developed this new Air Max silhouette remotely with the help of digital design tools and a progressive VR program. The shoe borrows heavily from the VaporMax DNA, flaunting a Flyknit upper construction and a full-length Air sole unit, the brand’s biggest yet. This Barbiecore rendition features a pink Flyknit base with chenille overlays displayed across the eyestay, collar, and tongue. Embroidered stars adorn the black lateral Swooshes, while the Nike font on the tongue and sockliner exhibit a Barbie-esque aesthetic. Darker tones of pink make up the heel tab and Air Max unit to complete this vibrant colourway.
