The GALLERY DEPT. x ASICS GT-2160 is Paint-Splattered Perfection

As the retro runner trend continues to dominate fashion spaces towards the tail end of 2023, GALLERY DEPT. and ASICS are looking to finish off the year with a bang. Coming together in collaboration, the duo has redesigned ASICS' iconic GT-2160 silhouette with a distinct and maximalist finish.

Having only been back on the market since June, the GT-2160 silhouette has captured the hearts and minds of the wider sneaker scene and by doing so, has ushered in a new era of collaboration. Off the back of a Dime collaboration earlier in the year, GALLERY DEPT. will now try its hand at creating something special.

Behold - the paint-splattered masterpiece that is the GALLERY DEPT. x ASICS GT-2160. Inspired by GD founder Josué Thomas’ creative process while painting, this latest collaboration is nothing short of maximalist in its approach. Atop its grey mesh uppers, we see a mix of blue and black synthetic overlays. Towards the toe box, a paint splatter effect can be seen with green, orange and black flecks.
