Comme des Garcons Play x Converse Chuck 70 Hi Black Sail

The Comme des Garcons Play x Converse Chuck 70 Hi Black Sail is the latest sneaker to release as part of the ongoing partnership between Nike’s sister brand and Rei Kawakubo’s legendary Japanese fashion house CDG. The duo have been working together several years now, and have launched some of the most successful Converse shoes in years.

CDG Play’s classic heart-eyes motif is present as ever on this new rendition, with the signature red heart in the usual place on the lateral side. Alongside this, beige outlined versions of the graphic are also present, making for a heavily branded offering. The uppers are crafted from durable canvas for a premium feel, while Converse’s signature star logo is displayed on the medial side.

Underfoot, a vintage white rubber midsole creates a retro feel and curves around to form the toe box, while modern-day cushioning remains concealed within to ensure these are comfortable as ever for long periods of wear.
