Sneakerheads are no stranger when it comes to re-issued silhouettes from New Balance. One of the greatest re-releases in the history of the Boston based footwear label is the return of the 550 basketball shoe, and there's no better way to revive the sneakers without the help of renowned New York-based lifestyle and streetwear brand Aimé Leon Dore. Working in partnership with the Teddy Santis-led fashion boutique, the Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance 550 White Grey is one of four beautiful colourways from the series.
The New Balance 550 Basketball Oxford released all the way in the '80s, not only was it popular with the top basketball players back then, the silo was much-loved on the streets too for its easy-to-style look.
Seen here dressed with a premium leather construction, the co-branded NB550 maintains its original aesthetic through the use of the italicised "N" logos midfoot and the embroidered model number on the lateral sidewall, both sporting a grey tone. Additional hits of grey land elsewhere, notably the tongue tags and rubber outsole underfoot, and the counterparts flaunt off-white shading for a vintage vibe.
The ALD x New Balance 550 White Grey should not be missed! If you're a long-term shoe collector, you shouldn't turn this pair down at all. As always, stay clued up on all New Balance release dates by hitting the notification bell above!
