In a powerhouse collaboration between two renowned Japanese franchises, Naruto reunites with ASICS for a special-edition GEL-NYC colourway. This release is a follow-up to the three-pack capsule in 2022, featuring beloved characters like Sasuke, Kakashi and Itachi. Serving the perfect sneaker for anime and manga fans, the Naruto x ASICS GEL-NYC “Uzumaki” pays homage to the heroic ninja’s sage mode, which he activated during the Pain Arc.

Conceptualised by artist Sebastien Abdelhamid, this exclusive rendition sports a black ripstop mesh base, establishing a stealthy underlay. Suede forms the reinforcements on the toe, mudguard, and eyestays. Dark red and orange leather overlays resemble the protagonist’s Sage Mode attire, complemented by black flame panels on the rear and a scroll lace lock. The clean white Tiger Stripes adorn the sides, amplified by an orange semi-translucent backdrop. Co-branding on the tongue features the sportswear brand’s logo alongside the Uzumaki Clan logo, while the heel boasts a scratch inspired by Kurama, the Nine-Tailed Fox.

Elsewhere, the sockliners flaunt co-branded Naruto Shippuden and ASICS logos atop the Rasengan graphics. The metallic silver lace dubrae boasts the Hidden Leaf Village logo. A bright orange hue envelops the rubber sole, as colourful as Uzumaki’s signature outfit. The sneaker comes in special-edition packaging inspired by the hit anime and manga franchise.
