Characters Freeza, Son Gohan, Cell, Vegeta, Majin Buu, Shenron and Super Shenron were all given their own dedicated sneakers, catering to the various fans of the franchise that found at least one pair spoke to them. The most sought-after editions were the Son Goku ZX 500 RM and Frieza Yung-1, which was due to a combination of character popularity but also overall colourway execution.
Among the 3-Stripes silhouettes included were the ZX 500 RM, Yung-1, Kamanda, Deeprupt, Ultra Tech, Prophere and EQT Support Mid ADV Primeknit; all of which successfully drew in an entirely new and existing audience. The capsule also added to the buzz for the new crop of silhouettes, with the Yung-1 going on to have a huge year within the mainstream and niche adidas fanatics leaning towards the Kamanda.
Each shoe arrived with a limited edition box that boasted a graphic on its left side, meaning that if you somehow managed to complete the collection, you would be able to stack the boxes together and view the finished exclusive illustration.
