Who's ready for the adidas Y-3 4D Black Volt? Yohji Yamamoto's third Futurecraft silhouette since 2017, his avant garde aesthetic seems to elevate every single silhouette he touches, and this one is certainly no different. First spotted on the runways of Paris Fashion Week earlier this year, it fuses the Y-3 Yuto with the Y-3 Tenet, resulting in a sneaker that blends the past with the future.
Featuring a black mesh upper, the first thing that you'll notice about the Japanese fashion designer's latest sneaker is the unique diamond-like cage that wraps around the entire upper. Inspired by one of his first adidas sneakers, it's made of a durable rubber and adds structure and support. A leather patch also makes an appearance with Yohji's signature stitched in in white, while "Y-3" branding is finely debossed along the toe for a premium look and feel.
Of course, you can't talk about this shoe without mentioning the Futurecraft 4D midsole. Seen here in an "Ash Green" hue, it provides the perfect amount of comfort, cushioning, and response, and is lined with a black rubber outsole for added traction with every step.
Want a shoe that no one else has? Then the adidas Y-3 4D Black Volt is right up your street! While the price tag is quite high, it's definitely worth it when you take into account the design, materials, and the name behind the collaboration.
