Releasing five years after the classic Air Force 1, the Nike Air Force 2 first dropped in 1982 as an evolution of the original AF1 basketball shoe. Keeping a similar shape as the Air Force 1, the Air Force 2 added a couple design elements such as the incorporation of TPU detailing and an extra layer which partly covered the swoosh on the side of the shoe.

Nike Air Force 2 Resurgence
Despite being popular upon its release, the Air Force 2 has not been able to achieve a level of popularity anywhere close to the classic Air Force 1. Despite efforts to bring the shoe back in the 2000's, it didn't seem people were as interested until they were accompanied with some more hype.
This hype came in the form of a Supreme collaboration. Supreme x Nike partnered up in 2017 to release four different colourways of a Nike SB Air Force Two which focused more on the skateboarding market. Although this collab was successful, the silhouette still hasn't become one of Nike's best sellers.
